It had been a few weeks since Bella had kissed him and Jacob wasn't really surprised that she was avoiding him. It sucked, sure, but he kind of expected it. Not to say it didn't hurt, because it did, but as much as he wanted to go find her, he knew giving her some space was probably best. And that's what he'd done. For awhile anyway. But now, it had been weeks and he missed her. So, even if she regretted it, even if it meant he'd have to hear her tell him it was a mistake, he didn't care. He just wanted to hear her voice. He didn't care what it was she had to say.
After his shift, he'd gone looking for her only to find that she'd had the day off. Which meant she would most likely be at her cabin. She'd avoided him long enough, he was going looking for her. And as much as he said he didn't care just being friends, Jacob knew that kiss was much more than a friendly kiss. Like he'd told her all along, she loved him. And with Cullen out of the way, now was his chance. A chance he had no intention on blowing.
This had been the conflicting thoughts he'd dealt with for weeks now. First he was okay with just being her friend, then he wasn't. Today was one of the days he wasn't. Which made it perfect for him to confront her. And also why he was now standing outside her door, knocking. She was going to talk to him. One way or another.
