She was on the verge of pulling away, but their words stopped her. Jo hated the idea that what she had been doing was hurting them, the two people she cared about most. Her eyes fell from both of them, landing on her hands. They had both kept her connected to them, and that meant so much to her. For a while, she had felt almost like she came second to them both, like she'd just been the one to bring the two of them together, though that wasn't entirely fair. It was a stupid thing to think, she knew, but she couldn't help it, sometimes. All she wanted was to feel like she was equal.
After a moment, she settled beside them again slowly, still not meeting their eyes. "Of course I trust you. Both of you." Swallowing hard, she gave a small shrug. "I...it's just been so hard. Dealing with it all. Coping."
