Johan looked between them, swinging his massive head as if he were at a tennis match. Crowley kept his gaze steady on Anna. "Oh please. I'm a demon, Anna. This is exactly what you'd expect from me." The giving it back part was the curiosity, the part that betrayed the demon expectations.
He shook his head, never breaking eye contact. "Don't give me that doe eyed 'you hurt me' crap. It only makes you look like a fool." Which, granted, she probably was. Foolish for ever thinking Crowley cared. He wasn't capable of caring about Anna or anyone. Demons just didn't have that emotional capability.
"Goodbye, Anna." Crowley turned his back on her and pat his leg for Johan to fall in step at his heels.
