WHO: Sam Winchester and Claire Bennet
WHAT: Sam has something he has to say, in case this whole 'box plan' goes sour.
WHERE: The hotel roof.
WHEN: Shortly after this.
RATING: As PG as you can get with the zombie apocalypse happening around you.
STATUS: Incomplete
Sam hated being unable to help, here. He also hated, almost worse, that Claire was the one who had to do it. Yeah, she was indestructible, but she was a person, damn it. And a damn good person. Practically the only bright spot that Sam could find in this stupid place. So, what if something went wrong? What if the zombies broke through or the explosion busted the glass and Claire and Peter went with it? Every single way the scenario could go bad was playing in Sam's head like a record and it made him feel sick.
But he knew that if anything, Claire was more stubborn than Dean so he had zero chance to talk her out of this. So, just in case, there was something he wanted to do. Something Claire had to know.
And it could backfire. It could blow up in his face like everything else in his life, but if it did, at least he could say that he tried. He sat on one of the air ducts on top or the hotel, listening to the sounds of guns firing and knives and swords slashing below, and he put his head in his hands. Was he really going to do this?
He thought of her for a second. Of how she'd listened to everything he said. How he'd told her of his sordid backstory and how he had all but destroyed his own world, and she still saw the good in him. Thought he was worth her friendship. And with a bit of renewed affirmation, Sam slid off of the air duct and walked over to the edge of the roof, watching the melee below for a moment.
If she was making him feel good, in this chaos, for even a moment? It was worth the risk. So yeah. He was going to do it. He turned around and sat down, leaning against the back of the 'hotel' sign to wait for her.
