Although his expression was still neutral, he was amused. Granted only those who knew him would likely recognize the signs. A slight arch of one eyebrow. A vaguely humorous gleam to his eyes. A bit of a turn upward at the corners of his mouth. It wasn't often that those who didn't know him saw those things. They usually jut saw a man who didn't have much of an outward reaction to, well, much of anything, really.
Still. There were those who could tell. People who tended to pay closer attention than most. People who actually took the time to realize there was more to him than met the eye. They weren't all that common, but they did exist. Whether or not Heather was one, however, Oz couldn't say for sure.
"Guilty as charged," he replied in that same even tone as before. Stepping away from the wall he glanced briefly around the room to take in his surroundings. The place was nicer than it even appeared on the outside. He was impressed.
"Nice digs." His gaze flickered briefly back to Heather. "Looks like we're roomies." Which wasn't so bad, in his opinion. She seemed nice enough, and at least they got along. He wasn't sure how he felt having a cute female who seemed to be one hundred percent human as a roommate after so long being removed from general humanity but he didn't have much choice. He just had to make the best of it.
And at least she liked music. Always a plus, in his book.
