Dominique wasn't completely floored but she was knocked back a few feet, able to maintain her balance, but she couldn't remember the last time someone else had disarmed her. She was always best in class at it, when in a situation that called for it. But the fact that Sirius had disarmed her hurt in a way that wasn't at all physical. She snatched her wand back when he offered it to her and held on tightly to it as he lectured.
"We're not in a bleeding battle right now, Sirius," Dominique spat back, blinking away what might have been tears. "I'm not entirely naive. I'm not going to trust Damon. I'm trusting Elena to know right from wrong, especially after promising."
