"Yeah, I know," Teddy said with a little smile. "But we've worked out now that we're always going to end up together, so when I go home, I'm sure I'll find her somehow. Even if I don't remember this place, part of me has always known I would find her again." His voice was rough and gravelly even though he was much more awake now. Still, he couldn't be bothered to clear his throat.
"I'll try not to," he said with a soft laugh. He knew it wasn't really a laughing matter, but he was so used to making a joke out of things that it just came naturally now. Still, he kept his arms around her, comforting her. He knew how she was about men. He couldn't even remember her last serious boyfriend.
"Anyway, even if he doesn't come back, we'll find you someone else. We have fans here, you know." He winked his one open eye at her with a cheeky smile. He knew she'd probably roll her eyes or tell him off, but the fact remained that new people arrived here every day. Someone like Izzy could take her pick of most of the men here. He was sure she'd be able to find someone if she was just willing to open up.
