"Don't be miserable," Teddy said, his brow creasing into a frown. Even he'd stopped being quite so miserable now. "We're back now. You can't be miserable when I'm around..." He stopped talking to yawn. "I'm far too much fun." At least, he used to be before all the shit with Damien. Still, he'd decided he was going to go back to being that person. Vic wasn't here any more, and Damien knew Teddy would actually kill him if they came face to face ever again. It was only Vic that had stopped him last time, and she wasn't here to keep him in check any more. From now on, he was going to forget that had ever happened, just like Vic had been able to forget.
"Why are you miserable?" Teddy asked, shifting in the bed so he was facing her a little more. Her arm felt comforting, draped across him, reminding him he wasn't alone; literally and metaphorically.
