Her chin quivered just a little as she forced a smile. "I think I have." She called back, her voice cracked just a little. The relief that swamped her threatened to overwhelm her. When was he coming back from? Part of her wanted to run up and kiss him until the ache in her chest subsided. But the rational part of her knew he'd gone back.
