The banging on the outside door was getting louder, and the closer the groans got, the more nervous Little Rock got. Without her sister there, her confidence was shot, and she knew she was defenseless. Inhaling deeply, she pushed off the chair and began to pace the room, waiting for the attachment of directions that Angel sent her to print. "You're okay, this is just like Z-land. It's nothing new." Jumping slightly as a loud BANG echoed through the empty cabin, she immediately snatched up the Winchester Model 1890 rifle and glanced out a window. Watching two zombies running around in circles in front of the door to her cabin, Little Rock just swallowed nervously and fitted the gun's strap over her shoulders. The printer beeped that it was done, and she grabbed the paper and headed out of the computer room. She needed more supplies if she was going to venture out of the safety of her cabin. Making her way back into the laundry room closet, she began to sift through the weapons to try and find something more just in case. Finding a Satin Nickel M1911A1 Variant - 45 acp in a holster, she quickly fastened it around her slender waist and grabbed a bat from the corner of the closet.
Suddenly remembering what Tallahassee wrote in his note to her, she grabbed a water bottle and filled it up from the tap in the laundry room. Taking two large gulps of the water, she slung the water bottle over her shoulder and made a beeline for the basement. Out in the hallway the groans sounded like they were coming from the inside, but THE MANAGER'S memo stated that the cabins were safe. It didn't matter, she couldn't stay in the cabin while other people were outside possibly being eaten, and she couldn't run the risk of the zombies finding someway into the cabin. She had to do something. What if Wichita WAS at the resort? What if she was in trouble? Finding a backpack on the staircase, she shoved the water bottle, and rifle into it.
Throwing open the basement door, she scrambled down the steps, snatching a flashlight off of one of the shelves. With a bat in one hand, and a flash light in the other she began to navigate her way through the basement. Black converses barely made a sound on the floor as her heart raced and echoed through her ears. The sounds of zombies soon diminished, and all she could hear was her feet scraping against the concrete floor. Fixing the bag on her back, she came to an opening right where that Angel guy told her it would be. Sticking her head into the sewer, she flashed the light around the dank sewer. Lips curled into a sneer, as she jumped down until the underground labyrinth.
"Ugh, so gross..." Shining the light on the instructions that Angel gave her, she flashed the light in the direction the paper told her to go. "Hello...? Is anyone down here?" Tightening her grip on the bat, she tried to recall the last few comforting words her sister told her. "Focus, Little Rock.... you can do this..." She managed to whisper to herself, as she kept her ears tuned to anything that sounded zombie-like - or anything human for that matter. Angel said that there were people hiding in the sewers didn't he? Hopefully in the time that she took to grab supplies the zombies didn't learn about the sewer systems.
