"...it's more like her shoulder," Teddy said, as if that made any more sense. He tilted his head, like seeing it from a different angle would make him understand the cover art. Seeing their team, seeing them, on the cover of a comic book...well, it was a geeky dream come true, and it wasn't exactly processing well. Even after having read the entire first series and assorted crossovers, it still hadn't really clicked for him.
Because here, sitting next to Billy, Teddy knew that they were real. All he had to do was reach out and touch Billy, feel the warmth of his skin and the life there, to confirm it. He couldn't question that if he wanted to keep his sanity in this place.
"If it makes you feel better you're both growing out of someone else's head...and at least your nose isn't ridiculously huge."
