She started to reach for one of the bottles he had brought, but when he kissed her hair, she shuddered faintly, and lay her head down against his chest again, squeezing her eyes tight as fresh tears formed. She didn't want to start crying, not again, because she'd cried so much in the past few days, and if her mom saw her she'd tell her to quit being an idiot.
"I had to know." She muttered quietly, trembling a little as she cuddled closer to him. Her words were still slurred pretty badly, because she was completely drunk. She didn't even know for sure if he was there or not. One hand lifted to his face, laying against his cheek. "You real? Not a dream?"
