The fact that it was so late only confused the subject as inside the bedroom, Billy was already wide awake. Sitting up in his bed, the boy fiddled with the cellphone in his hands, a gentle blue backlight flooding his forlorn features. Teddy wasn't the only one with nightmares. He wasn't the only one keeping that to himself. And he certainly wasn't the only one who had debated time and time again going to his boyfriend for help. But instead he vexed over his most recent draft of a text to Teddy, this one simply reading "You up?" as opposed to his previous draft of "Miss you..." and the one before that of "Hey, are you still up?"
As he deleted his most recent draft and began typing out a hurried "Hi," the sudden presence of a figure in his window was enough to startle Billy into dropping his phone onto the sheets, his eyes adjusting to the winged form.
"...Teddy?"
Climbing out of bed in a hurry, Billy started towards the window, pulling it open before realizing that his Spider-Man briefs and baggy Captain America T-Shirt was probably not the most flattering outfit to greet his boyfriend in. Not that he usually cared very much, but still... pants would have been nice, he thought.
