Castiel closed his eyes at the feel of the soft cloth. It was very pleasant. When it was taken away the air was cooler in his skin. He appreciated that too. "Thank you," he said sincerely, his eyes a little more focused than usual.
The syrup was new. Castiel had never has cause to take cold medicine and he started at it curiously, wondering what it's effects might be. He opened his mouth obediently and... almost spat the contend of the little cup all over Joanna, pressing his lips tight together and forcing himself to swallow if only to spare her that. His features settled as the pungent taste faded. "Thank you," he rasped again, not sounding over convincing. He settled himself back onto the pillows. "I might just do that." And he smiled. Castiel really didn't know Joanna well but she was an allies of Dean's and kind and pretty to boot. He very much approved of her presence. "I'll be here," he said as if to coax her along to the kitchen. He was only eager to try the promised soup. He wished to test the effect of that too.
