Christmas was pleasant. There weren't a ton of presents all over the place, in fact Sora was sure Riku got the most, but it was his house and his family, so that made sense. Sora himself got Roxas some new wheels for his skateboard, and Roxas got Sora an external hard drive, which he explained later was for all his business crap. The boys got the dogs some treats and toys, and Sora got Riku's Mom and Dad matching paperweights in the shape of Mandarin Ducks. They were white, so in case Riku's Mom wanted to put them in her white room thing instead. He got Aba a really nice brush and inkstone. He got Riku a cool architecture book, and a book about rocks, and some rocks, and an air freshener for his car that was cheesecake scented (mostly cause it was funny, not that it actually smelled good) and a cool case for his glasses so he wouldn't put them on his head and lose them from jumping into the ocean. Christmas was food and playing in the snow and being lazy and eating candy.
The day after Christmas meant going to the mall to try and get things on sale, or exchange things, or get rid of that hella ugly sweater that Riku's Mom got him.
The 27th was spent packing some stuff for the trip that they were leaving for the next morning, and Roxas was leaving that evening on a train back to Hollow Bastion. It was the middle of the afternoon and everyone was sitting around eating lunch in the livingroom and playing monopoly. Riku was winning because both twins kind of sucked. "I need to learn to be better at this game. Especially the acquiring and building on property part." Sora lamented, hoping he wouldn't have to break into that 500 he had stashed just to get past Riku's stupid four houses.
