Finals week in December [19 Oct 2009|01:38pm]
Roxas was so glad he didn't have a final on Monday. What a horrible day to have to have one on, you had to study all weekend. It HAD just been Thanksgiving break, but it was nice to have an extended weekend like this to just be in his room quietly with some headphones (Demyx would use nonverbal communication if he wanted something anyways) and a bag of chips and his laptop.

He didn't hear the knock on the door at first, until it was much louder, and finally pulled his headphones out to go answer it. He was confused to see a police officer standing there, and wondered if it was something about Demyx's accident.

"I'm looking for Roxas?" Leon S. Kennedy asked. Man, he hated doing stuff like this. This kid was just a freshman. But the call was sent to the local police there and an officer asked to deliver the message personally rather than by phone.

"That's me," Roxas replied slowly, opening the door a little more. "What's the problem?"

Leon took the paper from his pocket. "I am here to inform you that Alaska airlines flight 337 sent several distress signals before it allegedly went down over the pacific last night."

Roxas sort of blinked. "What's that got to do with me?" It seemed so random...?

Leon almost groaned. Apparently he was a spacey kid.

"Your parents, Helen and Nick were listed on the flightlog of this particular flight. Their status is currently 'missing'."

"Oh..." Roxas replied, eyes widening. His....parents. They were coming home from their vacation, weren't they. 'Went down'. 'Missing'. Roxas merely stared at the man.

"We will continue to update you with new information. Good day." He left after that, because even if the kid started asking questions, he wouldn't have any answers.

Roxas stood there at the door, in shock, staring to nowhere, even after he had left.

Too bad for Hayner. [19 Oct 2009|07:04pm]
Leon S. Kennedy was surprised to find he had to merely go up one floor to tell another kid that their parents were on the same crashed flight. He figured it was likely the kids were childhood friends, and maybe the parents had gone somewhere together. Or they were cousins.

Didn't matter, he still had to do it.

So he read over the piece of paper again, and knocked on the Hayner/Seifer door, waiting for an answer.
