Who: Eros and Brendan. What: Brendan isn't an idiot. He saw what was happening and decided to wait for Eros' at his flat. Where: Eros' flat. When: October 16/17 Rating: TBD Status: Closed/Incomplete.
When Brendan had first stepped out of the bank and into the streets of Diagon, his book clutched tightly and protectively in his arms, he thought he might have been imaging things. The scene looked like something straight out of a horror novel. People were running about, screaming, crying, diving and trying to find cover while spells flew about at an alarming rate. A part, a very small part of Brendan was curious as to what was going on but the larger part of him, the part of him that did not want to be involved in this particular brand of chaos and anarchy just yet, said that now was not the time to jump head first into that fray...regardless of the fact that he knew that Eros was out there somewhere. The likelihood of him being able to find Eros and protect him from...whatever, was not that high and rather then put himself at danger and at risk, Brendan turned down the narrow path that ran alongside Gringotts and made his way deeper into the shadows.
As the noises of the alley died away behind him, he paused for just a moment, turning to look behind him and make sure that the chaos hadn't followed him before disapparating with a silent, reappearing in the dark hall outside Eros' flat. Just because he wasn't going to go looking for Eros in the fight didn't mean that he wasn't going to wait for him. He knew that Eros was smart and could take care of himself and would never allow for himself to be injured intentionally but there were some incredibly stupid people in this world that could not be trusted and as such there was no way Brendan could go home and rest easy without knowing if Eros was alright or not.
Pulling his wand from his pocket he unlocked the door to Eros' flat and let himself inside, warding it back up once it closed behind him with a click. It was odd to be there and not know when Eros was going to return nor what state he would in when he returned but Brendan couldn't allow himself to think about that right then and there. If he did it would only serve to drive him crazy and make him an antsy mess and that was not something either of them needed if Eros ended up being hurt.
Lighting several of the lamps around the around, he waited until the shadows had been chased away and a warm glow filled the room before taking a seat on the couch and opening the book he had snuck out of the bank with him. If the Goblins knew that it was in his possession they would possibly skin him alive but Brendan didn't care. There was knowledge contained within it's boundaries that he needed and there was not enough time during the work day to be able to pour over it properly. Settling back on the couch he flipped over the cover and began reading, hoping that it wouldn't be long before Eros returned home.
