"Yes, I would," she snapped at him, the fury showing clearly and brightly on her face as she regarded him without shame about the feelings she was feeling in that moment. "Because clearly, what little common sense you might once possessed has gone from you and no longer exists. You tied someone to you in such a way, in such a manner that cannot be undone. Not only does the target exist on your back but it is now painted firmly upon hers as well. Did you stop to think about that, Sirius? Did you stop to think what would happen to her during this war if something happens to you? Did you think of the consequences of your actions?" Walburga leveled a steely gaze at Emmeline, not at all bothering to hide her feelings or what she thought of the situation but at the same time not showing her entire hand. As much as she hated to admit it, Sirius was the only family she had left and with the sudden reemergence of him into his life? Things were beyond complicated, including her feelings. She knew she wanted him around, despite the fact that he infuriated her so much and often made her want to smack some sense into him, but at the same time he was her son, her first born and not even disowning him had been able to erase that feeling or that tie between them.
"You inform family before weddings," she said in a steely tone, her gaze now leveled on Emmeline as she properly took her in for the first time since the girl had entered her home. It was not lost on Walburga how the girl resembled a Black. Pale skin, dark hair, only her eyes set her about from the rest of the Black family. If Walburga had not known any better she may have mistaken her for a true Black instead of the complete stranger that she was.
"Do not rule out the eyes just yet. I have not yet decided if it is worth the effort or not of gouging out your eyes and mounting them in a necklace."
