Re: SELWYN FAMILY.
Tom can see immediately that Xavier is livid. His usual quiet and stoic demeanor is gone and in its place is a cloud of fury rage. This is a side that only Tom has ever seen before and it was only when Xavier was younger that it was seen. He didn't care that the other members were present or that there was a possibility that someone could hear him and what he was saying. He wasn't speaking to Tom as follower to Lord but rather friend to friend.
He pointed out that his family had suffered more than any other for this cause. He had buried one child, another had been badly burned and would carry those scars for the rest of their life and the third, the third was in that very room with them and it did not take a genius to see that Alastair had been affected by everything that had happened.
They were loyal, they were his followers, XAVIER WAS ONE OF THE FIRST AND THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED TO HIS FAMILY WHEN YOU ALLOWED CHILDREN TO RUN ABOUT UNCHECKED. They were not suppose to be liabilities. His children were not canon fodder for this war and he would not be silenced about the injustice that had been done to his family. He had been loyal since before there was a cause to be loyal to. His children and his wife were loyal and this? This was how they were repaid for their service? For their loyalty? For his dedication and devotion to the cause? No. Absolutely not.
He demanded blood for blood. His children had been hurt, they had bled because of the recklessness of children who ere left to run about and do as they pleased. They would suffer as his family had suffered and if they did not, Xavier would take matters into his own hands.
