Her response shocked him if only because he'd forgotten that his face was different than she was used to. He took a step back, but immediately remembered what she was yelling about. Well, if he couldn't tease her about her concern for him before, he certainly could now. He was sure she wouldn't appreciate it, but he only had one thing right now.

Alastor had never been particularly prideful in his appearance, so he didn't exactly care what he looked like, but under her scrutiny it felt different somehow. Not exactly shameful, but there was the slight increase in his heart rate that did tell him that he cared at least a little bit about her answer to that question, as ridiculous as that seemed.
