He will find you...
When the first day shift of printers arrived outside the offices of the Daily Prophet just before dawn they found themselves unable to enter. The door was blocked by something; a weight that pressed against the door, giving only slightly under the weight of a shoulder. Afraid they might get in trouble for damaging company property, it took an hour before someone managed to get in through a side window.
The scream that echoed through Diagon Alley would not be quickly forgotten. The object that had blocked the front door of the Prophet was one of their own journalists. Anaïs Richardson was a muggleborn who had become a popular op-ed writer; and one who had been outspoken about the Lestranges, Selwyns, and other suspected DE-leaning purebloods. She hadn't been coming in to the offices for a week or two, but her articles had still been arriving by owl and so no one had thought anything of it.
She was pale, and seemed oddly bruised - more grey than purple, her lips a cold, ashy shade. It was only when a Healer was summoned that the reason became clear; somehow, the blood in Richardson's body had been turned to thick black ink. An excrutiatingly slow - and painful - way to die. Not only that...there was far less ink in her veins than there had been blood. A neat cut from the inside of her elbow down to her wrist only partially explained that; there was no blood or ink on her clothing, or the floor around her body.
Within hours, Diagon Alley would be buzzing with gossip about the murder. And top of everyone's minds...where was the ink that had been taken from Anaïs Richardson's veins?
[ooc: Cut for graphic description of a dead body/aftermath of murder]
