"I did warn you," he said slightly amused as his hands moved about methodically, soaking bandages and applying them before repeating, building layer upon layer upon her skin. It was going to be rough for her for a bit while the burns healed and while the potions did what they were suppose to do but he had no doubt that she could handle it and that she would be alright. Margaux was stronger than most gave her credit for being and this was going to be no different then any other time.
Her words caught him off guard and for a moment his hands stilled, the potion dripping off of the gauze and down onto her bed as he just stared at her, a brief moment of raw emotion visible on his face before he schooled his features once more and returned to his work, his hands working as though they hadn't just missed a beat.
"I assure you I am as well as can be expected. I do not ever want to hear you apologize about your sister again. Her death is not your fault and you should never apologize for something that you could not have stopped and had no control over. It is-" he paused for a moment, finding himself at a complete loss of words as he tried to figure out how best to describe the situation but there were none. This was not a situation that could be defined by words no matter how hard one tried to do such a thing. "It is a horrible situation we all find ourselves in but you are not at fault and I do not want to hear you apologize for it again.
