Every single part of Xavier ached. It wasn't an all over pain like someone had Crucio'd him relentlessly but rather an ache like he had tried to run too long, too far, too hard. He felt absolutely exhausted and he had absolutely no idea why. He hadn't done anything to feel like he did. The last thing Xavier could recall was having spoken to Mr. Fenwick. That - that had been a most frustrating conversation but he had been fairly calm for most of it, only getting irritated once or twice - perhaps half a dozen times. But there had been nothing that would make him feel like this. He had left Mr. Fenwick resting and had returned to his office and the next thing he knew he felt like he did. The fact that he couldn't recall and couldn't bring anything to mind was more then alarming.
With everything that had gone it wasn't far fetched to worry that someone had somehow managed to get to him. It would have been difficult but not impossible. Especially not with as much time as he had spent at Mungo's in the recent days and weeks. It made him wonder if Alastor's visit the night before had been more then he had let on. Had he done something and Xavier not picked up on it? To say that it was alarming to think that such a thing had happened right in front of him was putting it mildly. He was usually far more observant than that and to think that someone could get something like that past him was something he was not ready to deal with.
It was with a great deal of effort that he forced his eyes open, only for them to slam shut immediately as bright blinded him. This most certainly was not his office, which was where he was suppose to be so if he wasn't in his office at Mungo's where the hell was he? Steeling himself he forced his eyes opened once more, refusing to slam them shut again and instead looked around once the spots in front of his eyes cleared and he could actually focus...only to find that he recognized absolutely nothing. Being unfamiliar with his surroundings caused a brief surge of panic to rise within him until he gaze settled upon a very familiar figure.
