The muggles she’d been attempting to kill were now forgotten as Eris focused all of her attention on Edgar Bones. Why was it that bleeding hearts just had to crawl out of the woodwork where they weren’t wanted? What did he think he was? Some sort of bloody Hero? She would show him what good a Hero was to the world before this was over, she swore it. Even if she had to leave a body outside his house every day with that damn word carved into it, to get him to understand. She would break him one way or another.
He’d gone to cover and it gave her a brief moment to wonder what he was doing before Eris lifted her wand for a shield charm. She wasn’t quite fast enough and she was forced to toss her wand into her non-dominant hand as the pain surged through her body. It didn’t feel good, but she knew that from experience. This wouldn’t be the first time she’d been injured by someone who thought to fight back. Though usually it was an ex of Hector’s and being injured only made the last look of life leaving their eyes all the more sweet.
“Incendio,” flames sprang from her wand to the building behind him, spreading all along the garden wall he was using for cover. She wasn’t as good with her left hand but then….what choice did she have in the matter? Her hand was currently numb with pain and if she didn’t want to be arrested she was going to have to kill him or get away from him and running was….well she wasn’t one to run from a fight.
“It’s funny,” Eris said as she threw a blasting hex at him for good measure, “how little you ‘Hero’ types think of your families when you throw yourselves into danger. What do you think is going to happen to your precious family hm? Do you think they’ll live if something happens to me? That your wife won’t be strung up by her own insides just to cause you unending pain? Is that what you want Bones? To watch the life leave her eyes?”
