Eris hit the ground and for a moment was stunned by the fact that she’d literally fallen over or was thrown from her feet by nothing. There were no wizards, as far as she knew, anywhere near her. She’d chosen this village for that reason. Perhaps also as a threat to Hogwarts being so close to the school and Hogsmeade. An insult to their ‘untouchable’ reputation if you will. Not so untouchable if there was at least one person willing to go near them and slaughter the sheep.
The voice however soon registered and it made far more sense. Bones. Turning as Eris attempted to get off her knees and to her feet, she dodged as best she could to get away from the hex he sent toward her, firing back at him with a stinging hex as she pulled herself to her feet. So he wanted to play did he? “They can fight back if they so choose,” Eris said, choosing to ignore the ‘cheating’ bit with her wand. After all, no one said they couldn’t attempt to subdue her, they were just too busy running to do so.
“You don’t want to fight me, Bones, stand down and you might return toy our family alive,” Eris said, allowing the mask to distort her voice as she lifted her wand again, this time she sent a slicing hex his way as she thought on whether or not she wanted to fight him. Eris was unafraid of Edgar Bones, he was no Alastor Moody. But that didn’t mean she wanted to find herself captured either because he wasn’t, though she was loathed to admit it, completely inept at his job.
