This wasn’t really the best plan probably and it was fairly risky when you really thought about the dangers of bringing the 1990s DA in contact with the 1980s order members, but what choice did they have? If there really was another attack coming so soon after the last one, the Order needed time to prepare for it, to gather their forces together and maybe even gain allies in order to prevent further deaths and destruction. There were only days left before the 31st though so they had very little time to do it and Harry wanted to give them as much warning as he could which meant he had to go through Edgar. There was no one that would trust him enough to bring people together like he did. Though he wasn’t really sure where he stood with Edgar right now. He knew he’d overwhelmed him with the truth. If anyone could understand the weight of your own death, it was Harry. But Edgar wasn’t just living with the weight of his death, he was living with the deaths of his children and wife as well. On some level, Harry also could understand that. He lived in the shadow of his parents deaths - the thing that made him famous. So as sympathetic as he was…..maybe it was a good thing? At least Edgar knew the truth and that meant he didn’t have to lie to him? But it also meant that they now had to figure out how to convince the rest of the order that Edgar might bring with him that they weren’t lying to them. Which was where he was at the moment as he paced the ‘meeting place’ he and Edgar came up with. It was a safe place for Order members to meet them and safe for DA members so that they were all on neutral territory. As the Order members arrived, Harry stood between them and the rest of the DA. Habit and fear for their safety to be honest. He knew these were good people, but good people when threatened or when they felt threatened were still dangerous and he didn’t want anyone getting hurt or feeling threatened at the moment. “Thank you for meeting with us,” Harry started before the reason they were all there came out. Halloween - one of the biggest attacks in the 1980s that involved hundreds of muggle deaths and magical deaths alike. “You have to be ready,” Harry said to them. “And you have to trust us. We’re here for you.” |
