Of all the things Alastair wanted to do it was go see his father, but he had to admit that the pain was getting worse. He'd brushed Eros off, who was an excellent Healer, but Alastair hadn't wanted him to stay. He was convinced he could handle it, but whatever curse had hit him seemed worse now than he initially anticipated. Something just felt wrong, and he had to finally admit that he was starting to get nervous. So he asked Benjy to bring him to the hospital and made his way up to his father's office.
There was also the conversation that came from this argument as well. He'd finally admitted to having a boyfriend. He and Benjy hadn't talked about it again, but it also felt unspoken. Benjy was staying at his house and Alastair wanted him there. He would do anything to keep Benjy there, and he wasn't about to let his father come between them now. He had the first time, but when granted a second chance Alastair wasn't about to ruin it again.
He did as he was told without speaking, tossing his shirt over the back of a chair and waited. He took a deep breath, but that hurt. He winced inwardly but tried not to let his father see just how much pain he was in.
