Jim Kirk + [OPEN]
Jim couldn't help but chuckle at the novelty of everything around him. He definitely wasn't the sort of person to turn down a party - even if it was with strangers. You didn't get the sort of reputation he did without being a little... open on how you spent your evenings. He'd gotten a little better about it since he'd turned 30 but... okay that was really mostly because Jim at least tried to be a good Captain and respect the ranks and all that - it was a little easier to flirt in ports or on shore leave than it was when you felt like you might cross some weird power boundary. Not that Captain Kirk hadn't toed that line plenty in the past but, hey, he was reformed now. Sort of. More like in retirement of bad habits he could just save for the winters in Florida.
This wasn't Florida and it sure as hell wasn't the Enterprise and as of yet, Kirk had sort of just settled into helping pilot ships for SadTech between Earth and a few of the closer colonies. He'd even gotten to Mars once. Mars. The thought of it. God damn it was novel, Mars being considered 'easy' to get to but still some how 'far'. He missed open space. Uncharted space. He missed... adventures. But this was going to have to do for now - unlike Scotty he couldn't go around explaining warp drives to people and jolting them a few hundred years ahead in technology. Plus there was probably some bullshit Spock would chide him for if he ever showed up.
Tipping his beer towards the bartender he wandered off to an empty tiki hut and slid himself into a bench, taking a very healthy gulp down of his drink as he surveyed his surroundings. Earth didn't really seem all that different to him, honestly, even if he felt a little more stuck here than he did in his timeline, century, dimension - however you wanted to put it.
