Who: Reileen and Tak Where: Luminous What: Sushi and talking When: After their network conversation Status: Closed; Incomplete Rating: TBD
When her brother reached out to her on the network, Reileen was not surprised. For all the damage she had done, in his eyes at least, she knew he still loved her. They were the only family each other had and that would never change even with Quell back in the picture. Blood always called to blood and they would never be separated for long, especially being as they were so closed to each other, location wise, in this time. It would be impossible to put of the reunion even if it was a somewhat tainted sort of reunion in the light of events back home. She figured it helped that she was no longer a Meth and capable of immortality and all those horrible sorts of activities in her world. Well, she was still capable of horrible things given particular circumstances, but at the moment? She was sheathing her sword, leaving it at home, and heading to meet her brother in a reunion she'd wanted-despite everything-since her arrival.
They had been at odds with each other and despite her attempts to make her brother see that she was doing everything for them. That it had always been for them. She loved him more than anything even if her actions at times made it seem otherwise completely. She'd only been trying to help him, make him see that weakness was in the bonds made outside of their bond, and that expelling them was the only way to be truly powerful and strong. They were nothing but ashes, ashes like those left when she'd sabotaged the Envoys out of jealousy and yes fear...fear she'd lost Tak again and like hell would that ever happen again. No, no one and nothing was going to take her brother away from her. Ever. Anyone that tried would die and that was as simple as that. That was why Quell had to go and all of them really. They were taking her brother from her and she couldn't have that happen again. It was only supposed to be the two of them. Always.
Of course it had blown up in her face completely. Quell was alive, Tak had destroyed her backup, and coming here had made certain the body she had was the only body she would ever be sleeved in. It was devastating to go from having everything to nothing...aside from Tak. At least there was her brother even if she had to put up with Quell to have him. For the time being at least. Things could change and Reileen was not one to sit around and wait for that said change to occur. She wanted something, she went after it until it was hers, and that was exactly how she built her Meth empire. Power was the goal and once you had it? There was nothing that could not be done, but she had to start small and sushi with her brother was a step. Not a step necessarily towards reviving her old life, but a step towards having him back in it.
Reileen had arrived early and claimed them a table near the window with quite the view of the city. She hadn't ordered anything outside of a glass of bourbon as she waited for her brother to show. He might have been angry at her, but that anger never showed itself in cruelty; he would not stand her up.
