Cho had been getting her bearings since she'd arrived and though she had been to New York before, it was in her own time and things were different here. So far she liked what she'd seen although she was curious as to why she'd ended up here or for that matter how had she ended up here. One of her first priorities would have to be find a job and she planned on doing that the first of of the week. Hopefullly with her experience working in the media and in public relations, someone could find her something. Or maybe they were hiring witches for Halloween.
Halloween was always a huge holiday in the Wizarding World, even bigger than Christmas and Cho had always loved it. She was a bit sad that she wouldn't be home this year and even sadder that there appeared to be no one from her world among the refugees. Perhaps there was a Wizarding Community somewhere in the city but she wouldn't even begin to know where to start looking so she had put it out of her mind. The way the wizarding grapevine had always worked meant that if there was someone, they'd find her soon enough. Until then she'd be just fine.
She'd discovered Martian's Merit a few days ago, it seemed to be a popular hang out and since she had nothing better to do, she'd decided to go and check it out. It wasn't terribly crowded but there were a good many people and she decided to sit at the bar instead of getting a table. Taking a seat on one of the stools, she smiled at the bartender and ordered a glass of red wine. Glancing around, she saw the other woman sitting nearby and she said "Hello, how are you this evening?"
