Who: Jack and Karrin (maybe other TW members) What: Looking for the 'lost' Doctor Where: Near the Cemetary When: April 2nd Rating: TBA Status: Closedishkindofmanilyopen
After thirty-seven attempts to contact the Doctor, and no reply, Jack couldn't lie, he was starting to get a little worried. He figured the Doctor might have gone out searching for the Master who seemed to have disappeared completely. But the Karrin played into Jack's fears, and the optimistic outlook the immortal man wanted to keep wasn't easy.
He took to the SUV, and took Karrin along. Leaving Ianto this time. In fact, he hadn't meant to leave Ianto, but finding the Doctor suddenly had become top priority. The man stayed quiet the whole two blocks down to where he had seen the Dalek, pulling up on the curb, and stopping before getting out in silence. This would be the best place to start, right? Because nothing happened to the Doctor, right? Nothing could. He was the Doctor. The. Doctor. The strongest and most feared man Jack had ever come to met, and the nicest, too.
But when he saw the green tipped sonic screwdriver laying on the ground where the Dalek had been, without the Dalek, or the Doctor, Jack dropped to his knees as he grabbed the device and stared at it. "He doesn't go anywhere without this." He said, more to himself than Karrin. "He just... Why didn't... I thought..." Jack said, words escaping him as he clenched his fists together, fighting back the fear that was biting at him.
Was it the Dalek? Had it accidently gotten reactivated? That was impossible, the Doctor had completely killed it. Was it Peter? Maybe Peter, being the half Time Lord he was, and born in war, killed the Doctor out of rage. Maybe that's why he destroyed public property, so he could kill the Doctor. But in order to kill him, he have had to kill him during his regeneration. There were too many possibilities in Jack's head as he stared at the screwdriver in dismay.
