Arriane nodded. She wasn’t what one might call an expert on scripture, but she knew about Lot’s wife. She was suddenly solemn on the topic of death. Throughout her life there had been a few close calls and it was sobering to think that she could be gone forever. She wondered if death would mean her admittance into Heaven or simply just a cessation of her existence as she knew it.
Then she thought of the things Zachariah had claimed when she had been his captive. Most specifically she remembered his accusations regarding the weapons of Heaven.
“A weapon of Heaven...?” She didn’t want to sound accusatory. She felt she was in no position to judge anyone. Instead, she only hoped that he would fill in the blanks.
