Susan had not been to a carnival in years, normally it was during the summer with her grandparents but Susan had not had the chance to do that in a few years and she never thought here at Hogwarts. It was a beach theme which seemed to brighten up the air of winter around Hogwarts and was definitely something to take the mind of current events and missing home. Yes Susan was already missing home, but she would also miss Hogwarts when all was said and done. The carnival was definitely keeping her from getting too upset about missing home though, and with all the booths and things to participate in she didn't get bored. Susan had talked a few people and stopped to participate in a few booths. Susan was very tempted to attempt the dunk tank but she would feel terrible if she didn't hit the target, as she was a chaser, and then she would feel bad for hitting it. Susan opted to take part in the volleyball with Hannah for a little bit but now that she was successfully red in the arms she was quite content to walk around and find something else to try.

Susan had talked to a few other friends around but Susan had yet to find Ernie. She thought she saw the back of his head. "Ernie!" She called out loudly waving at him in hopes he would turn around and see her. She continued to walk forward to close the distance between the two. "Ernie!" She called out again. Susan would attempt to drag him off to do something with her as doing things with company was always better than alone.

Ernie had finally left Neville and was in search of something else to occupy himself with. His volunteer shift was finished and after what Neville 'threatened' him with, he couldn't bring himself to seek Hermione. Ernie knew he'd blurt something out and wind up looking a fool if he did, after all. He considered approaching Hannah and Theodore, but they looked to happy together for Ernie to disturb them. There was still time before the volleyball match and so Ernie just decided to wander and possibly find someone to pass time with. Hearing Susan's voice, however, he grinned. Passing time with her wouldn't be a chore at all! "Hey, you! Where have you been hiding?"

When Ernie turned around Susan beamed. Ernie was always good to hang out with or at least Susan thought so. She skipped to a stop in front of him and smiled brightly. "Oh you know I have just been around. I went and saw a few things. I wanted to do the dunk tank but opted to say it was unfair. I play quidditch so I have an unfair advantage, and if I miss then I would be right embarrassed. Can't hit a target standing on my own feet yet I could on a moving broom?" Susan laughed at the thought. "So would you care for a spin on the ferris wheel or walk around and look at the different booths?" Susan wanted to see most of her friends this evening but interrupting Hannah and Theodore didn't sound like a plan at all.

	Ernie laughed as Susan prattled on about unfair advantages and Quidditch. "But think of Michael's face if you dunked him, Sue!" He smirked as he recalled the Ravenclaw's great show of standing in front of the tank and talking about that silly fish on his trunks. "Did you even see that display he did? 	"I missed a display? Darn." Susan snapped her fingers while smile and shrugged her shoulders. "I guess it would be worth seeing his face though." Susan put on a thinking face as she looked at him. 	"Then I do believe we need to walk..." Ernie placed both his hands on her shoulders to turn her toward the opposite side. "That way. Come on!" He grinned wickedly, hoping she'd relent and follow him. He purposely ignored the part about his life. He had enough talking about himself with Neville. 	"Okay?" Susan said sort of confused as he turned her around and she looked at him sort of weird. Susan tilted her head as she walked forwards and looked back over at him. "Show of my aim, I suppose that might be fun." She grinned at him. "I do need to get in some practice aiming anyway, and this has an amusing outcome." (Reply to this) (Parent)
