Practice had been rough, but Michael loved every minute of it. He hadn't forgotten his time as an alternate and so relished every chance he got to prove his worth to the team. Still, all good things had to end and the Ravenclaw practice was no exception. Upon its completion, Michael jogged over to where his bag rested on the ground. He bent, snatched up his water bottled, and took a long drink. "Hey, Mandy Mander! Brilliant practice as usual."

All in all, it had been a successful practice. Mandy had gone over most of the moves and notes that she had written down the day before. While there was always room for improvement, she was pretty proud of how the team was looking and pretty confident that they would win their next match.

After practice, Mandy went to grab her things and grinned when Michael called out to her. "Thanks Mikey," Tucking the lose strands of hair behind her ear, she carried her things over to Michael. "Want to walk with me back to the castle?"

Not many people could get away with calling him that, but Mandy was an exception since her bright smile was something that Michael never wanted to vanish. Especially if he was the cause. "Sure," he agreed easily as he reached a hand out to take her bag. For all his bravado, Michael really tried to treat people, especially females, with respect. "What's on the agenda for tonight?"

Thanking him for taking her bag, Mandy started walking back towards the castle. With all the planning for how practice was going to go, Mandy didn't give much thought into what she wanted to do afterwards. There wasn't much homework for her to do and there was nothing due tomorrow that she could recall.

"Don't think I really have anything planned, probably just relax in the common room. You?"

	Michael always had something to do whether it was homework or finding someone to yak at. He couldn't help that he was a social person! Even if it annoyed some people... 	Mandy let out a small laugh, her smiling never leaving her face. "Sounds perfect to me." As the two walked, she looked at the other team members and bit her lip as she glanced back over to Michael. 	Michael was cut off guard by her suddenly somber expression and tone. He looked back to where she had glanced and understanding dawned. "I mean it, love. You are brilliant." His own face and speech also took on a serious note. For all his humor, Michael could be there for his friends and Mandy seemed to need a reassuring ear. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Not being able to help but smile, she nodded, obviously satisfied with his answer. It wasn't something she was worried about too often, but every now and then, she did wonder if she was doing a good job as Captain. It was a big responsibility after all. "Thanks." Mandy replied. Wrapping a free arm around his waist, she looked back to him. "Now I feel better, what would I do without you?"

	Michael would never intentionally joke about something so important to someone and was glad she believed that about him. Releasing her shoulders, he took his hand and flung it around like they were little children. "You best not be finding out!" (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Mandy blinked, shaking her head she let out a small laugh. "Now why on Earth would I do that?" Flashing him a friendly smile. "Face it, Corner. You're stuck with me." It there was one guy she could pick to never lose a friendship with, it would be Michael Corner. (Reply to this) (Parent)
