Forgive the owl, but I forgot my journal at home. Do you need anything? I'm plenty confused about things -- first, Draco's entry telling me to mind my own business about something I didn't even know about and now Tonks' odd declaration? Not to mention the snippets my boy gives me. Surely, you need something then? A stiff drink even?

Headmistress,
Forgive me for speaking out. I normally attempt to allow my children the chance to work things out for themselves. However, it seems my child is being brow-beat for things at every turn. He's barely complained, but I know he's hurt. I fail to see any support from the school. He gives much of himself for his position, but I fear I'm very close to not allowing him to return for the final term. We can afford a tutor without issue. It would pain me to do so, but my seventeen year old has done enough for the school and the wizarding world. He risked his life and I'm proud of him for it, but my wife and I feel his spirit is being broken which is inexcusable.
I'm quite willing to meet and discuss this issue.

Headmistress,
I no longer desire my position as Prefect. I feel it conflicts with not only my well-being but that of the Head Boy. You'd be smart to have already taken it because I'm hardly a role model for the student body.
Give it to someone else who is more deserving. You’ll find my badge enclosed.
