michael & lisa

Almost everyone else had left, but Lisa was still working. She had recently begun working more. It was a little awkward being at the flat she shared with Mandy at times if the two of them were home. At least she enjoyed what she was doing. With all the hours she was putting in, Lisa could easily take a holiday sometime in the near future. Lisa was wondering if Michael had had any luck with Mandy.

Pulling her hair back once again, Lisa went back to her work. She wasn't working on any charms, just reading over texts that her colleagues had put together over the years since the start of the committee. It was fascinating to read, although many wouldn't think so. With her back to the door, she heard someone enter. "I swear, I am leaving soon. You won't find me asleep over these in the morning." Lisa had only done that once and that had been months ago.

It was difficult running the shop with Fred in the hospital, but Michael was doing all he could to step up and not give George any further reason to worry. Truthfully, it was also a good distraction for Michael since it made him feel useful. Visiting Fred had proved just how utterly useless Michael was on that front; keeping the shop in business was the only way he could really be of service. However, when he finally locked up that night, Michael only wanted one thing and that one that was to spend time with his girlfriend. It still felt odd thinking of Lisa that way, but it was a good sort of odd. It made Michael feel loopy and warm and all the things he ragged on his buddies for when they had girls. He felt like a damn lucky bloke and he wanted to keep it that way.

When he closed for the day, Michael was determined to seek Lisa out and surprise her with flowers and dinner. Yet, his plans had been derailed when he realized she wasn't at her flat. He had been daunted for all of five minutes when he decided to simply bring the festivities to her. He had stopped at their favorite cafe, ordered their favorite foods, and stuffed them all under his arm as he apparated to Lisa's job.

"Wooo hooo? Lisa?" he called. "I heard you were working late!"

Lisa looked over her shoulder. She had not been expecting it to be Michael showing up here. It was such a pleasant surprise. "What are you doing here?" Lisa left the desk she was sitting at and walked over to him. There were bags under his arms. "Oh did you bring something for me to eat?" She grinned as she gave Michael a kiss. "So where did you hear that I was working late, hmm?" Lisa asked as she walked back over to the desk and pulled up an extra chair for him to sit at. "Sit."

Michael pulled her close with one arm, returning the kiss passionately. He pulled away and cast her a cheeky smile. "Food for you? Hm, this is alll mine." He held the bags over his head. "Even if your favorite is in here..." He winked.

"Okay then," Lisa told him as she rolled her eyes. "Guess I will just go and get your favorite something and keep it all to myself." She grinned as she teased him. "How was work for you today?"

"Now, now, do I look daft to you?" He waved the bag under her nose. "Mine is in there too!" His eyes crinkled as he chuckled, but her next question did cause his smile to disappear briefly. "Okay," he said slowly. "Strange still. Keep expecting...well." He trailed off and glanced at her desk. "Ready to blow this place?"

Lisa shook her head and winked at him. "I wouldn't keep you around if you looked daft." She realized then that it must be strange for Michael, but she hoped Fred would be well soon. "It'll happen. Soon, I hope." Lisa followed his gaze to her desk. "I suppose I can leave. Alright, lets go!"

"If you told me no after I came alllllll this way..." He grabbed her hand, pulling her out the door. "Just wait," he said excitedly. "You'll love it." He hoped she'd like his picnic anyway. He had set up a table cloth right on the bottom floor of her job building.

"Oh will I? And how could I say no to you?" Lisa asked. "Where are you taking me?" She only asked because she was rather hungry and wanted to eat. "Is it far? You've got food and that is making me realize how famished I am feeling."

"Not very far," he teased as he pushed her forward. "Ta da!" He waved his arm over the spread out blanket. He had even charmed the area to look like a park. "And no pesky bugs."

Lisa was amazed. It looked amazing and so real, even though they were inside. "Michael. This is.... Oh, I love it! And no bugs is wonderful." Lisa gave Michael a kiss. "You are amazing."

"I only do it for these," Michael answered before kissing her back. "Now, look, what a thoughtful and romantic bloke you have! You'll tell all your mates when you lot get together for those slumber things, yeah?" He flashed another grin as he dropped to his knees to spread out their dinner.

"You'll get plenty from me." She grinned. "I have a very thoughtful and romantic bloke! All of them are jealous because you're just so wonderful to me." Lisa didn't actually say anything like that with all of her mates. She had one particular mate in mind and she wanted Mandy to be okay with everything and didn't say too much about her relationship. "This is really brilliant, Michael. I think the Weasley twins couldn't have a better bloke working for them."

Michael disguised the shadow that crossed his face as he ducked his face into the bag to pull out their entrees. "Hmmm."

"Hmm what?" Lisa asked. "Come on. Talk to me."

"Why talk when there's food?" He waved warm bread under her nose.

Lisa took the bread out of his hand. "Michael. Why did you hmm? You are not distracting me with the food."

"No?" He pulled her onto his lap. "How about with this?" He asked before nuzzling her neck with his lips.

She rolled her eyes as she laughed. That was a distraction she rather liked, so she put wanting to talk out of her mind for the moment. "Mmm. Just a little bit of distraction. Certainly not enough for me to continue badgering you about your hmm."

Ah, success. Michael rubbed her back and kissed her for a few moments before gently pushing her away. "Okay, I came to eat!"

"You choose food over me?" Lisa asked feigning that she was hurt from being pushed away. "You are just lucky that I am hungry."

"For the moment? You bet!" He handed her the container that held her dish. "If you eat quickly, we can do more..." He nodded suggestively.

"At least it is only for a moment," she said as she took the container from him. "I suppose I could eat quickly. As long as you do too."

"And drool all over myself?" He bit into his sandwich. "You'd still find me attractive, love?"

"Would you be heart-broken if I told you no?" Lisa asked him. "Actually, I would still find you attractive."

Michael smirked. "Knew itttttt."

Lisa took the bread she had taken from him earlier and tossed it at his head. "Aren't you just so lucky?"

"I am," Michael deadpanned before turning cheeky again. "Nearly as lucky as you."

"You are just as lucky as me, not nearly." Lisa smirked.

"Well, I suppose if we took a poll, some might say they wonder how I got you." Michael left his food to pull Lisa back toward him. "Of course, they don't see my irresistible charm. I save it for the special ones..."

"I suppose that is true, but then most of them haven't known you as long as I have." Lisa kissed him. "I'm glad I'm a special one. And you are special too."
