WHO: Michael Corner & Lisa Turpin WHAT: Getting closer, much closer. WHEN: Friday night WHERE: Lisa's flat RATING: R for sexual encounters STATUS: DONE!
It had been a long, hard week at the store. Michael, normally one of the best clerks in the shop, hadn't sold a single item. A customer even went so far as to tell Michael he needed more training and he should go back to "clown school" for it! Needless to say, Michael was heartbroken though he was handling it in pure Corner fashion. When Friday rolled around, Michael basked in having the weekend off, sulked for most of Saturday, and then landed at Lisa and Mandy's doorstep, a big bag of alcohol and sweets firmly in tow. "Hullo, ladies! It is your lucky dayyyy!"
Lisa was glad for the weekend because the weekend meant no work! She was finishing up the dishes she had just used when she heard and all familiar voice outside the door to her and Mandy's flat. This lucky day must mean Michael had come to visit. Done with the dishes, Lisa wiped her hands off with a towel as she headed for the door with a big grin on her face. "Lucky is it?" Lisa asked as she opened the door to see Michael. "You bring us treats?" She had noticed he was carrying something. "If you do, you should come right in!"
"Why, it is rude to show up empty handed!" Michael declared as he made his way into the room. "And I didn't want to be rude today. Maybe tomorrow." He grinned that sly smile of his as he planted his grocery bag firmly on a table. "Where's Manders?" He asked, glancing around for the dark-haired Quidditch player. It had been awhile since Michael visited so he really wanted to see his old friends.
"Yes, it is very rude. And I am very glad you have decided not to be rude today," Lisa said with a chuckle as she followed after Michael. "Quidditch practice I imagine. Or maybe it was a match? I don't know exactly, but it has to do with Quidditch." Lisa had been meaning to ask Mandy for some sort of schedule of her practices and matches so she could find time to attend a match or two herself. "Sorry. You only get me tonight." Feeling nosy, she started pulling the sweets and alcohol out of the bag. "How have you been, Michael?"
Michael made a face at missing Mandy, but shrugged. "Then we have the place to ourselves," he announced. "And more of..." He pulled up a bottle she had fished out. "This." He started moving around the kitchen to grab glasses and plates like he owned the place. "Oh, brilliant week!" He answered sarcastically. "If there was a photo for worst employee of the month!" He stabbed his chest with his finger. "Yours truly right here." He joined Lisa again, passing her a glass. "And how are you, my dearest Lisa?"
Lisa nodded her head. "Yes, we do. Excellent." She decided to stay at the table and watched Michael get things from the kitchen. He certainly did know where things were even though it had been a while since the last time he visited. "Oh I doubt that you are the worst employee, Michael Corner." Lisa took the glass from him and gave him an encouraging smile. "I'm guessing a lot better than you are. But," she said opened the bottle and poured the contents in her and Michael's glasses. "You brought this. I bet this will make you feel loads better."
"See? This is why I come here. You girls know how to treat a bloke." He accepted the glass and took a long swig. "Ah, liquid happiness." He grinned and held his drink up. "To you, me, the missing Mandy, and our wonderfulness, customers be damned!"
She grinned. "Of course we do! What kind of friends would we be if we didn't?" Lisa held up her own glass before taking a drink. "Hear hear!"
Michael laughed before flicking out his wand. Random dance music began playing. "I need some fun. We can either do it or I am dragging you out to a muggle club. Pick your poison." He polished off his drink and held his arm out.
"Might be a little safer here, unless we run out of alcohol then we just might have to go out to a club." Lisa told him as she reached for his arm. "Besides, you wouldn't have to drag me. I'd go willing. Fun is always a needed commodity."
"Especially for some people who don't know their arses from their elbows," Michael replied, thinking on the awful customers from the last week. He'd probably love the job again come Monday, but at that moment, he was bitter and just wanting a good time. "Good thing we can teach them how to have a good time, Lisa Bean." He grabbed her hand and twirled her around in a move that definitely didn't match the music, but who really cared? That was also the benefit of not going out.
Lisa just smiled. She knew he had to be thinking about his awful week at work. "Yes, some people are like that. I'm sure next week will be better for you." Her head bobbed up and down as she laughed. She didn't care how they were dancing because it was fun anyway. "We are really good at this dancing thing, aren't we?"
"Well, I am. You..." Michael pretended to deliberate. "Could use a little work." He winked before playfully dipping her toward the floor.
She rolled her eyes, but she was still smiling. "I don't think so." Lisa hadn't expected the dip and gasped. "I'm glad you didn't drop me," she said when she came back up.
Michael rolled his eyes as he pulled her toward his chest and hugged her hard. "I am not drunk yet!" He released her to grab up the bottle again. "More?" He offered.
"I might have to hurt you if you were drunk and dropped me." As soon as she was released she responded to his question by getting and holding out her glass to him. "Do you even need to ask?"
"Now, if I had just poured you one, I could be accused of taking advantage!" Michael pfft at the statement. "Like I need to get girls wasted anyway." He smiled as he handed the glass back off, taking a moment to pat Lisa's cheek. "Now I know you evil birds conspire to do it to us..."
Lisa shook her head. "Just as long as you intended to pour yourself one too, it wouldn't be." She took a drink and nearly choked on it as she tried to suppress a giggle. "You think you are that good, huh? And this bird doesn't have any need to get a bloke wasted. No conspiring against you."
"Oh, no?" Michael asked with interest. "Then you've hooked a bloke? Tell me about the git." He imbibed his drink, raising eyebrows as he regarded Lisa.
"Well, no I haven't hooked a bloke. Haven't had time really." Lisa told him as she looked at her drink before drinking more. "But when I do have time, I don't have to get him wasted or anything. What about yourself? Got a bird?"
"You know I am waiting for you, Lisa. You and our flying babies." He snickered, setting down the second glass on the table. "Some chocolate to wash down the poison with?" He held out the box he had purchased along with his other goodies.
Lisa couldn't help blushing from that comment. Flying baby comments were always going to be around. "How thoughtful of you, Michael." She looked at the chocolates in the box and picked one out. While her mouth was full she asked, "Have any sugar quills?"
That was what Michael liked about "his" girls --- they could do things like talk with their mouths open! "Of course," he answered. "Would I ever bring candy and forget those?" He dug through the bag again, finally finding his prize at the bottom. "Here!" He said, straightening up with a great flourish.
She took a sugar quill from him. "I'd have to hurt you if you did to bring my absolute favorite candy of all time!" The sugar quill she picked up went straight into her mouth and sucked on it. "I am quite content now that I've got a sugar quill. You are my favorite person in the world, Michael Corner."
Michael was starting to get his happy buzz and it showed in the flush of his cheeks. "Well, naturally. I knew Ant and Terry couldn't hold a candle to this face. Not to mention the charm..." He laughed and popped some candy into his mouth.
Lisa laughed. "Don't tell them, but you just have the best everything. You'll certainly have more birds following you than them two." She paused on sucking on her sugar quill and finished her drink off. "More please!" She set the glass down in front of him and waited for him to fill it up.
"Oooh, bossy. As usual." He grinned slyly before doing exactly as she requested along with getting him another too. "Here, here. Be glad I thought to do this, yeah?"
"It should be expected. At least I was polite." Lisa nodded her head. "I am very glad. This would have been a very boring night for me if you hadn't stopped by." After she took a drink, Lisa stuck the sugar quill back in her mouth and held onto it with one hand as she grabbed Michael's hand with her other one.
"Ooooh, forceful Lisa. I like." He wiped at his sweaty forehead with the back of his sleeve. He was normally more proper, but he didn't think Lisa would mind.
Lisa laughed. "I'm glad you do." He was right, she didn't mind at all. "What else do you like?" She teased.
Michael started doing some crazy moves, dragging Lisa with him. "I like...pygmy puffs. Yeah!"
She felt her face flush from laughing, not just from the dancing, but from his answer. "You sound like you aren't too sure you like pygmy puffs. Did you ever get one for yourself or was it someone else you giving one to?"
"I never got one!" He whined as the alcohol took full effect. "I helped Susan with hers and I was going to get mine..." He brightened, tugging at Lisa excitedly. "You'll help me get one, yeah?"
Lisa was amazed that she was able to talk at all from being left out of breath from laughing at him and herself. "Yes, I'll help you get one!" Lisa told him. "We'll pick out the prettiest pygmy puff they have."
"P-pretty?" Michael sputtered. "No way!" He shook his head vehemently. "No way! I am getting the manliest puff we have!"
"Michael, they are all pretty," Lisa teased. "I have yet to see a manly puff."
"That isn't true! The green one Susan bought was ALL man!" He finally collapsed onto the couch, pulling Lisa down with him.
"That doesn't make sense, how could a puff be all man?" Lisa asked after being pulled down to the couch. She couldn't decide what was spinning, the room or her head. Whichever it was, it was definitely because of the alcohol.
"It could be all strong! And menacing, don't forget menacing." Even in his "happy state," he noticed Lisa looked peaked. "Are you okay?"
"Aw. I wouldn't want a menacing one. I want a cute one." Lisa grinned. "I'm fine. Maybe a bit too much for me?"
"Weakling!" Michael teased, stabbing at her side with one finger. "Can't take you anywhere! Or come to you anywhere. Whatever."
"Hey!" Lisa stuck her tongue out as her hands tried to cover her side to keep him from poking her anymore. "You could take me everywhere!"
"Nuh uh! You're a total lightweight!" Michael tried to grab her hands away. "Boogy Michael is coming!"
"But so much more fun!" Lisa shook her head, trying to keep her hands where they were. "I want my hands back," Lisa pouted.
"Bah, what do you need hands for?" Michael asked, struggling to keep her smaller ones engulfed in his.
"For lots of things," Lisa answered. "Wouldn't be very fun for me if I couldn't touch anything."
"Hands are overrated," Michael proclaimed though he finally let go of the soft fingers. "I dare you to find something interesting to do with them!"
"I couldn't hold a wand for one thing," Lisa pointed out. "Nor this...." Lisa placed her hand on his head, ruffled his hair a bit before running her fingers through it. She didn't know if it was what he considered interesting or not, but Lisa didn't care. Plus, she had always wanted to do it.
"Hey!" Michael protested. "You are...hey, that actually feels good..." He leaned into it like a small puppy.
Lisa smirked. "See. This is what you'd be missing, Michael, if I didn't have any hands." She giggled as she was quite enjoying herself. "You are adorable."
"I am, I am," He agreed, laughing like it was the funniest thing in the world. Sobering some, he added, "So are you."
Lisa blushed. "Thanks, Michael." She stopped what she was doing and sort of leaned against him. "You are comfy too."
"That's all your birds use me for." Nevertheless, he wrapped his arms around her, letting her fall easily into his chest as he stroked her hair. "Do you ever miss always being together? All of us, I mean?"
"You come in handy. And that feels nice," she told him. "Yes, I do. I know I've got just a bit of it most of the time rooming with Mandy, but I miss everyone else. Do you miss it?"
"Yes," Michael admitted. "I mean...this is hard! Being a grown up and all that rot, I mean." He tapped her back with two fingers. "And how does this feel?"
"It is. Being grown up is fun. Just not nearly as fun as I thought it would be when I was younger and wanted to be grown up." Lisa was already feeling relaxed, after all she had been drinking, and it felt good to her. "It feels nice. You could draw something with your finger and it would still feel nice."
"Draw something?" Michael asked, a slow smirk spreading. "Okay! I'll draw something and you guess....here goes!" He began tracing an ostrich on her back with his fingertips.
"Ok, I'll try and guess." Lisa thought about what he was drawing. It just seemed like a circle to her. "Could you draw it again? Right now, I just think you are drawing a circle with some sticks or something."
"You are not concentrating!" Michael admonished, pressing harder on her back. "See! There is a head! And legs! And where IS the head?"
"Why are you asking me where the head is? You're the one drawing it!" Lisa sat up a moment to smack his head. "Draw something else, Michael."
"I'm asking to help you clearly!" Michael withdrew his hands and crossed them over his chest, pouting. "You are NO fun, Lisa Turpin!"
Lisa laughed at Michael. He was adorable when he pouted. "Yes, I am. I am LOADS of fun!"
"You couldn't even see it was an ostrich!" Michael pointed out. "How can I possibly remain mates with you?"
"You suck at drawing. And I've never seen an ostrich, how am I supposed to know what they look like?" Lisa teased. "Michael, you would miss me way too much if you weren't my mate anymore. And I would be very sad and lonely without you." Lisa was feeling a bit thirsty at that moment and summoned the bottle of alcohol to her. "Want some?"
In reply, Michael opened his mouth. Pointing into it, he nodded. "Uh uh," he garbled.
She made a move like she was going to hold onto it while he took a drink, but at the last second took the bottle and drank from it herself. After she was done taking a drink, she held the bottle out for Michael to take.
"Hey, no fair! I'll just get my own!" He waved his wand, missing the spell in his more wobbly state. Finally managing, he looked smug and took a big sip. "No sharing with YOU!"
"You didn't say please," Lisa told him. "And I was planning on sharing with you, you big baby." Lisa had laughed at him when he finally did attempt the spell correctly. "So what should we do now? We've got this and sweets. We already danced. What is next?"
"Likely story, you big non-sharer, you." Michael found this oddly amusing and laughed hard at himself. "I don't know! Your place. Pick something brilliant that will knock my socks off." He pulled at his pants. "And my trousers. Merlin, it's hot in here right now."
"I am a sharer!" Lisa shook her head. "It is hot in here isn't it? Ooh! We could play a card game and when we lose a hand, we have to take something off. Then when you lose, you'll get to take off your trousers."
Michael's mouth dropped open. "Seriously?" His eyes widened, but he nodded crazily. "Yes! All for that! Get the cards!"
"Yes, seriously." Lisa smirked. Too lazy to leave the couch, Lisa summoned cards to where she was sitting. "Any preference to a game?"
"Go fish," Michael deadpanned.
"Go fish it is." Lisa laughed. She shuffled the cards and then passed out some cards to herself and Michael and put the rest between them, after scooting some to make room for the cards.
"Have any..." Michael narrowed his eyes and ducked his head around like he was trying to see her hand. "SEVENS?"
Lisa glared at Michael as he tried to see what she had. When he asked, she looked down at her cards. "Go fish! Got any threes?"
"Go fish?" He whined. "Does this mean I have to take my shirt off?" He sighed and forked off his three as well.
Lisa nodded her head. "Yes, you do." This was going to be a lot of fun. "And thank you. How about nines?"
Michael whipped off his shirt, exposing his underone. "Enjoy," he teased. "And nope!"
"I will more once the other one comes off." Lisa pouted. Now it was her turn. "My shirt?"
In a more sober state, Michael might have remembered to be a gentleman with his good friend, but just then he was just thinking about what was under her shirt..."Hmmmm. Aces?"
She took off her shirt, a bit thankful that she was wearing a camisole. He'd have to wait a while longer before he got to see more. "Here," she muttered, handing him her two Aces and wishing that she had asked for them the last round.
Clearly pleased with himself, Michael grabbed for the cards. "Your turn then."
Looking at her cards, she pondered what to ask for next. It was a tough decision for her. "Do you have any Queens?" Lisa finally asked.
"You are totally cheating," Michael replied as he reluctantly handed over his lone Queen. "You tell me...what comes off next...my socks?"
"How am I cheating?" Lisa asked as she took the card, happy to have completed a full set. "No, not your socks. Your undershirt, please."
"I see how it is," Michael replied, snickering harder as he lost his white shirt. "Impressive, huh?" He pounded his "pecs" like he was a gorilla in the wild.
"Very impressive," she said in as serious a tone she could say it in, before she started giggling. "How about ones?"
"Ha, no! You are not doing so great now, are you?" He taunted, wiggling his eyebrows in a way that was meant to be suggestive, but looked a mess in his less than sober state.
"Still better than you. I at least have already made a full set." Lisa reminded him. "What's next?"
"I dunno. You can take off that shirt thing so we can be even..." Somewhere inside, he felt a little weird, but also excited. He couldn't say he had never pictured his friends...well, without clothing before.
"Okay then," Lisa said before she took her camisole off. She felt a little awkward at first without it on, but she was sure that after a few minutes, the awkwardness would go away. "Its your turn."
"Are you okay?" Michael asked. Even in his drunken state, he noticed his friend was in her bra and it might not be the most comfortable thing ever. "I mean...are you cold?"
Lisa grinned. "I'm fine. Its still warm enough in here that I don't feel cold."
"Well, you certainly look fine..." He smiled almost sheepishly.
"Thanks, Michael." Lisa could feel her cheeks getting warm and knew she was blushing. "Go."
"Um...what haven't I asked for? Uh, duces?"
"I couldn't tell you what you haven't asked for." Lisa handed him the only one she had. "Here you go."
"Drat, you won't help me cheat." Michael took the card and looked over Lisa. "Um, you don't need to take anything else off."
Lisa shook her head. "No, I won't help you cheat." She was a little confused by what he said next. "What? I haven't asked for anything."
"I know. I just mean..." He shrugged, blushing in a way Michael Corner rarely did. "I just...I mean we're mates and..."
She had never seen him blush before. "Don't want to think of me with less on?"
"What? No. I do! I mean...yeah." He cleared his throat. "Probably a bad idea is all."
"If it makes you uncomfortable, then I won't." Lisa said. "I don't mind if you see more of me though."
"Really?"
"Really, Michael. It is up to you."
He looked at her for a long minute. "Does that mean you want to see more of me then?"
Lisa bit her bottom lip as she thought about how to respond. "If you don't mind, I would."
His self-assured smile reappeared as he stood and held a hand out. "We can make it a bit more interesting..."
"How?" Lisa asked as she took his hand.
He pulled her closer, wrapping an arm around her waist like when they had been dancing. "You could help..."
"Of course I'll help," Lisa told him. Being this close to him, only half-dressed, was different from when they were dancing. "What...?"
"Go ahead," he said, an encouraging smile playing on his lips as he nodded downward.
She didn't know what he was thinking, but she did hope she was thinking the same thing. "Michael," she whispered before kissing him.
Michael didn't answer, but merely kissed her back in a way that said he had been waiting for it forever...even if he hadn't known it. His hands traveled around her back, marveling at the soft skin.
In the back of Lisa's mind, she knew that she had always wanted to kiss him like this. She felt her back tingle where he touched her and loved the feeling. Her hands immediately went to his hair, since she knew that he did like it when she ran her fingers through it earlier.
His eyes opened for a moment at the touch before he leaned in to caress her neck with his lips. Slowly, he maneuvered so their bodies fell on the couch. He muttered a few protection charms and let one hand undo his trousers. "Take the honors," he said, letting her have room to move around.
Lisa felt her hands tremble slightly and hoped it wasn't enough for Michael to notice. She grabbed hold of his trousers and tugged at them to get them off. Then, she took Michael's hand and placed it on the clasp to her bra, smirking while she did it.
Michael was too into the moment to notice something like trembling hands. It had been awhile since he had relations with any girl and he had certainly not expected it that night. Yet, he was pleased and also surprisingly tender as he rid her of the rest of her clothing. Somehow, he remembered the lights and was coherent enough to utter for them to get off.
