draco + sailor
WHO: Draco Malfoy & Sailor Fawcett
WHAT: Draco agreed to meet Sailor during her Hogsmeade weekend.
WHEN: Forward-dated to this Saturday.
WHERE: Starting at Honeydukes
RATING: PG
STATUS: Pending

Draco couldn't believe he agreed to meet Sailor during her Hogsmeade weekend. Draco wasn't a bloody student anymore and hated all reminders that he had ever been one at all. However, something had snapped when he saw Sailor talking to Flint. Sure, Draco liked Flint about as much as he liked anyone outside his immediate circle, but that didn't mean he wanted him talking to a young and impressionable girl. Still, Draco had business to take care of abroad and really should have been attending to that rather than playing around with some Ravenclaw he barely tolerated. However, he still stood outside Honeydukes (did the girl REALLY need more sugar?) as promised. He checked his watch and let out a sigh. Where was she?

Sailor was still surprised that she was meeting up with Draco Malfoy of all people, was that a safe thing to be doing? Andy and Colin really weren't going to like it, and it wasn't like Sailor wouldn't tell them the truth. After all, she sort of felt like she should tell them.

So, as she left the castle, heading off to Honeydukes, a smile was on her face.

"You know for someone who came up with the idea to meet up, you sure don't look happy." She said wrapping an arm around his shoulders. Probably not something she should do, but well, why not right?

Draco pulled away her from the moment her arm encircled his shoulders. Only family and specific mates were allowed to touch Draco in such a way. "A simple hello would suffice," he informed her while straightening his robes. He had come from the office and hadn't bothered to change. "I'm plenty content," he added. "How are you, Sailor?" He finally looked into her face, wondering if he had been a bit harsh in pulling away so suddenly. It wasn't like she knew he was so particular.

Well, honestly she shouldn't be surprised at how quickly he pulled away, it seemed talking to her in general wasn't exactly easy, or something he wanted to do. Honestly, she couldn't tell, it was confusing, but interesting. "Plenty content? No doing well, or enjoying the day?" She asked curiously.

"And I'm good." She said with a shrug, she was good, she still felt terrible about the death of Katie Bell, and she was hoping the Memorial would go well.

"So, you normally decide to meet up with people purely so they wont talk to other people?"

It wasn't that Draco didn't care about Katie's death so much as thinking on it made him feel guilty. He had, after all, nearly killed her his sixth year. It was too horrid to consider that she had been spared only to die a few measly years later. Intellectually, Draco understood he had not destined her death, but it still bothered him. At least meeting Sailor and focusing on her high energy ways would give Draco a break from thinking about it. Or he hoped anyway.

"I don't know what you're talking about," he insisted as he opened the shop door for her. "I knew I'd be bored and I figured I owed you something for that stuffed...thing you got me. So..." He gestured around the shop. "Anything you want is on me."

With a raised eyebrow, she walked in the door all the same. "It's a stuffed dog, and you don't owe me anything." She added. He really didn't! She'd sent the stuffed dog, because she said she would, it was pretty much that simple for her.

"Besides, who plans out when they are going to be bored?" She asked as she looked at the candy. Candy + Sailor = Dangerous. Even she knew that. Still, she really enjoyed looking at it. Part of Sailor wondered if he felt like he had to bribe her to hang out with him or something. That was kind of how it sounded. She sent stuffed animal, he wasn't a total jerk, she talked to Flint, he decided hm bribe girl to hang out so I wont be bored? It really didn't make a lot of sense to her... But it did make for an interesting puzzle!

Draco knew it was a dog, but to say such meant he actually noticed and why should she know it had actually made him smile albeit briefly? People didn't normally think to send Draco stuffed animals, after all. "I didn't plan it," Draco answered, "I just know weekends are freer than during the week. Well, used to be until MacMillan went bonkers." Truthfully, he was worried about Ernie, but that didn't mean he wanted to tell Sailor that he needed an excuse to get out of the office. Watching Ernie running around nearly broke Draco's heart.

Sailor wasn't the type of person to feel comfortable with someone buying her things while she was there to pick them out. It was just an odd thing to her. So she picked out a handful of chocolates and nodded towards the cashier. She'd listened to everything he'd said, and even watched his expression and body language carefully.

"So." She said simply. "I'm going to ask you a flat out question, but I'm going to wait until we get out of here. Okay? And don't get nervous, it's nothing terrible. Merely curious." Sailor did have respect after all.

Draco's stomach flipped a bit when she said she was going to ask him something. In his experience, no good came from strangers asking things. He didn't hide his disgust as he plopped some gold down. "I want to," he insisted, holding a hand up in effort to ward off protests. "And, really, if you want to take this in exchange for not asking me questions..." He trailed off, but looked at her pointedly.

"You do know you're talking to me right? When do I not actually ask questions?" She said with a smile.

"Thank you." She added in as she looked at the gold to the candy, toe the clerk putting it in a bag.

"Besides, what part of it isn't terrible sounds scary?" She really was asking a lot of questions. Sailor smiled at him before taking the bag from the clerk.

"Everyone always says those things." Draco rested a hand on her back since he found it proper to escort her back outside. "Doesn't make it true. It's sort of like saying 'no offense' to someone. The person is still going to take damn offense!" He shook his head, blinking his eyes to adjust to the sun again. He hoped she'd give up, but had a hunch he was dreaming.

Sailor was slightly surprised that he escorted her, but he did have the proper thing going for him.

"Or, it could really just be the truth. Anyways..." She said smiling at him. "What I was going to ask you, is..." She paused, changing her mind on her first question. "Is, have you ever just done something totally insane for fun?"
