There was really no hiding that Mandy was up to something. Mandy wasn't the best liar, but she felt she put on a pretty good show when she asked Lisa if she minded running to the store to get a few things for dinner tonight. Though if anyone knew Mandy well enough it would be Lisa, so perhaps she knew that something fishy was cooking. But at least she played along like she had no idea. Mandy smiled happily to herself as she took the time to look at her work. It was Lisa's birthday and Mandy made the place look fantastic if she said so herself. Balloons were around the living room, a banner that read: HAPPY BIRTHDAY LISA! In the dinning room; Spaghetti, Lisa's favourite meal, was all set up. Mandy had put a charm on it so it would still be warm when Lisa arrived.

Her present was ready. Thinking that Lisa would be so excited to see what she would be getting, Mandy was hoping that she'd return soon.

Lisa knew something had to be up with Mandy, but she didn't press the issue. The only reason that she had the feeling was because was getting her out of their place, to do something that Mandy could easily do herself. She went to the store to grab the few things that Mandy had requested. It did not take her long to get the things she needed, but instead she got caught up at the book shop next door and was browsing the new releases. There were a couple that sounded interesting, but Lisa decided to wait until she had the money that she could spend on something fun like that. Though, that wasn't always the case. It was her birthday!

Feeling as if she had wasted enough time, not knowing that Mandy had needed such time for her surprise, Lisa decided to head back home.

"I'm home, Mandy!" Lisa said as she walked through the door, making sure that her presence was known. It was then that she noticed the banner and the balloons. "Ooh! That's brilliant."

Mandy jumped up instantly once she heard Lisa's voice. With a large smile on her face she threw her arms wide once Lisa walked in and said, "Ta da!" Seeing the look on Lisa's face made her laugh, Mandy jumped up a few times before running over to her best mate to give her a hug. "Happy birthday, Lisa! Here, I can take those." Mandy replied offering to take the things that Lisa went out to buy.

"I made your favourite, Spaghetti of course! your present is in the living room. You can open it now if you'd like." It might be hungry. Mandy thought to herself but she didn't say it outloud. It could give it away.

"Thanks, Mandy!" Lisa hadn't been expecting this at all as she gave Mandy a hug back. "This is amazing," she said as she handed the bag over to her best friend.

"Mmm, spaghetti. Oh, I think I will go open it now." Lisa had no idea what to expect. She saw the present in the living room and opened it up. Inside was a bunny! All her life she had loved bunnies, but had never owned one herself. And here, her best mate got her one. "Mandy! I love it!" Lisa decided that dinner was going to wait as she scooped up the bunny and carried it with her to the other room. "I've decided that this here is Floppy. Not a very original name, but it is mine of course." She gave Mandy another hug. "You are the best mate a girl could ever ask for."

Mandy grinned as if to say, 'I know!' But deciding to be polite and modest she just smiled and shrugged as if it wasn't a big thing. "It's no problem really, it's your birthday!" Mandy cheered for her friend and gave her a small hug before she made her way towards her present.

When Lisa exclaimed that she loved it, Mandy couldn't help but smile again. Knowing that Lisa loved bunnies, she hoped this would be a perfect gift for her. Since they were sharing an apartment it wouldn't be hard at all to take care of him. "Good!" Mandy replied when Lisa said she loved it. "Floppy," Mandy added trying out the name. "I think it's adorable actually! Oh well..I do try." Mandy replied with a laugh.

"I know it is my birthday, but this is wonderful." Lisa told her. She was excited about Floppy. And she was very glad to have Mandy as her best friend.

"You probably wouldn't have to try at all and it would all be brilliant. So you said you made spaghetti?" Lisa asked. She was still holding Floppy and thought of a place to set him down. "Floppy will be a great addition to this place, don't you think?"

"Yes I did!" Mandy said happily. Obviously proud that she had made an actual meal. "With no help at all, I would like to add." Moving her eyes over to the kitchen, making sure that everything was still being kept nice and warm. "I wasn't sure about the sauce so I just put that into a separate dish so you can put as much as you want."

Taking a look at Floppy, she smiled. Giving him a small pet on the back, she looked back over to Lisa and grinned. "I think Floppy is an excellent addition, oh which reminds me!" Mandy moved over to the closet to take out a nice looking rabbit cage. It even had a mini fake stone cave for when Floppy wanted to get away from the light. "I have his cage and I bought your typical food and water for him and some bedding. I also bought a book on how to take care of a rabbit, which is around here somewhere."

Lisa laughed. "You didn't need to add that. I would have believed you did it without help anyway. Thanks for making it! And that is a good idea for the sauce, though I'm sure its good too."

She followed Mandy over towards the closet. "Floppy certainly is! I was wondering where we were going to put Floppy. Oh good, a book! As much as I love bunnies, I have no idea how to take care of one."
