Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
WHO: Party-goers
WHAT: Lisa decided that she and Mandy should have a party (Also, to celebrate Michael's bday)
WHEN: Friday, September 3; after the party has started
WHERE: Lisa and Mandy's flat

Lisa was glad that work things stayed at work because she put all of her energy into planning and setting up for the party, with Mandy's help. As she was working on the party, she remembered Michael's birthday had just passed and thought that she could incorporate it into the one she was planning. Prior to the party, she mostly set the food up and made a cake so people would have things to eat while there. Lisa was glad that the weather was nice and she made sure that the windows and doors were all open. When it was time for the party, she was ready.

Lisa was proud of her and Mandy's work as people came to the party.

Thank goodness for Muggle devices. She found their stero systems to be fantastic! Of course she had the wizarding ones set up as well for those that wouldn't be familiar with muggle music but she found the muggle party music to be a lot better, so she started off with that. Opening her closet, Mandy had put aside Michael's gift. He would have to wait till later for it. Mandy had worked very hard into making it look perfect and she did kind of want to give it to him in private.

After that, Mandy went out to help set the rest of the food out. Looking over to Lisa she couldn't help but grin. "He's going to love this!"

"Yes, as he should," Lisa said, grinning back. "We put a lot of hard work into this and besides, he deserves it. Now he can't complain about being abandoned for some time."

Teddy wasn't sure when he got on the guest list to things like Lisa and Mandy's party, but he was grateful for the chance to prove to his mum that he was alright. She had been extra fussy since Ernest's death and it was all Teddy could do to convince her that he really was leading his life. Of course, that wasn't exactly true, but she didn't need to know that. It was his job to protect her with Angus gone. He only wished Draco would be included. Not that he'd have gone, but still, Teddy wanted his cousin. He wasn't very good at the whole partying thing.

He said hello to the hosts, handing over the sweets he brought before finding a suitable corner to stay out of the way.

Megan thought that the Ravenclaws having the party were absolutely brilliant and was glad to be invited. This party was what a lot of them needed after having a few rough weeks with the death of Ernie's dad. Plus, it could be seen as a celebration in not having to return to school and knowing that they were finally done. However, she didn't know who all was going to come and she had spaced asking Susan. Her week had been busy, jumping between Appleby and London. At least she was young and the party was just the perfect thing to unwind.

She had gotten to the party later than she had planned, but that was okay. Other than Mandy and Lisa, the first she spotted was Teddy and she headed in that direction. "Hi!" Megan said.

Teddy was glad to see a familiar (and friendly!) face. He was still mildly surprised Megan didn't hate him for what happened with Hannah, but he was grateful too. "Hello," he said politely. "How are you, Megan?" He bent down to kiss her cheek.

"I am brilliant. Glad to be at a party," Megan responded. "How about you?"

Mandy was thrilled when people started to show up. The first to come was Teddy, by which Mandy cried out, "TEDDY!" Instantly pulling him into a hug. She hadn't seen him since their run in at the Quidditch supply shop and it was certainly nice to see him again and happy that he came.

Next was Megan and Susan which Mandy both hugged and welcomed them as well. It was starting to look like a good turn out, she was just happy to bring some of the old school mates together for a good time.

Susan had arrived at the party shortly after Megan, and after saying her greetings and congratulating Michael, she had made her way through the house, admiring the furnishings. Lisa and Mandy had done a magnificent job decorating their new flat, and she was making some mental notes for things she could apply to her own apartment, which, while already being lived in, still looked somewhat blank and lacked a much needed homely feel.

Waving hello to some people she knew, Susan began to make her way over to the refreshment table, apologising as she almost walked into someone.
