Dear Mrs. Kaleigh Nott,

As you are aware, the Ministry of Magic is taking great care to rectify the wrong doings of Death Eaters during the last three years. We have worked relentlessly to see that their crimes are acknowledged and, if possible, punishments carried out.

That being said, our Aurors are working to bring to justice those responsible for crimes previously considered 'cold cases'. It has been brought to our attention that your late husband, Angus Nott, is being held responsible postmortem for the capture and subsequent murder of muggle, Madeline Abbott. Further investigation will follow before we seek retribution.

We will keep you informed of our decisions regarding this matter. Please continue to register all actions with the Ministry and keep documentation on you at all times. For the moment, we do not request any changes on your behalf.

Dear Miss Hannah Abbott,

The Ministry of Magic is making every effort to right the wrongs that have occurred during the last war and before. We understand that you and your muggle family have faced a great loss, and it is our understanding that the murder of your mother, Madeline Abbott, was magical in nature.

Our Aurors have been working cases previously considered lost causes, and, in turn, are attempting to uncover unsolved murders and other crimes against wizard and muggle alike. We are pleased to inform you that we believe we have found a suspect in this incidence. As of this moment, Angus Nott, Death Eater, is being charged with this murder.

Though the suspect is deceased, we hope that your family will find some comfort in having a name with which to place blame.
