She smiled gently at his response and turned her face up to look at him, her head resting against his shoulder. While she very much agreed that their daughter was both perfect and beautiful, obviously they couldn't name her that. She'd probably end up uncontrollably precious in the worst ways, and everyone would just make fun of her in school and she'd never be taken seriously as an adult and she'd probably hate them. Which was precisely why Victoire had struggled to come up with even a list of names she wanted to consider. She didn't want her child to hate her because she chose a horrible name.
Thankfully, she was not yet in a place to panic over that particular decision.
"No, but we have time to get to know her before we name her." Victoire had learned from a couple of the different books she'd read on pregnancy and infancy that it usually didn't take long for a baby's personality to express itself, and she rather liked the idea of waiting until they really got to meet her before giving her the name she'd have the rest of her life.
"You should hold her," she told him, already moving to let him take the baby.
