Winifred Weasley didn't have any children of her own - there had been some significant debate about whether or not that would change any time soon - so she got her small-child fix from her cousin's kids. They were cute as hell and she didn't have to actually be responsible for their well-being at the end of the day, so it worked out nicely. For Freddie, anyway. Maybe not for the children's mother. Freddie did try to make things easy on Vic, given how close they were, but sometimes it was hard to resist giving the kiddos extra sweets.
Freddie had a box of such treats straight from her dad's shop tucked under her arm. These were mostly safe, they wouldn't cause any sort of real discomfort or damage to the tykes, though they might be purple for a few hours. Freddie wasn't worried, she'd spent a good portion of her childhood with violet skin-tones thanks to these sweets and she'd turned out just fine.
She chose to walk from the Hogsmeade branch of the shop to her cousin's house. It was a nice almost-spring day (it was raining instead of snowing, at least) and she enjoyed the open air for just long enough to get her to the shelter of the house's front step. Now she was properly wet, cold, and ready to be inside.
She paused to wring her long, dark hair out onto the step before knocking. In the moments before the door opened, she held up the box, ready to present it to whoever opened the door.
