"Of course," Severus answered, with a warm smile, before he started to actually wash the dishes. No sooner had he looked away, to concentrate on his work, than he felt Hermione's snake about his waist, and he gave a contented sigh. Though at her question, his smile widened, and not because he could tell that she was working up to asking him to spend the night.
"Apart from that dragon pox vaccine, you mean?" he asked with a smirk and then he shrugged slightly. "Nothing that can't wait, I daresay."
Even if Hermione couldn't see his smirk, however, he imagined she could tell from his tone that he was teasing -- as he always was whenever he mentioned that dragon pox vaccine. Which made him smirk all over again. They actually had in jokes. He really couldn't remember the last time he'd been close enough to someone for that, and it was a wonderful feeling.
