Lavender was still asleep when the faint sound of a knock at her door drifted into her conscious, slowly waking her. It took her a moment to open her eyes and remember what day it was even. It had been another long night and she felt like she had a hang over. She was still getting use to living with someone during this process. She usually didn't let anyone around her and it was hard to let Malachi help her when she was so use to being on her own.
She sometimes forgot that he was use to helping her through it from a time before she died. But now he had a child to look after during that time as well, which was different. Evie came first.
