Summary: Verity goes for a little walk.
Status: Complete.
The day was stretching out and Verity was bored. She hadn't really left the house in the past few days, exploring every nook and cranny of the place as well as enjoying the garden. But cabin fever was setting in and she wanted to go wandering. Outside on the path, she looked towards Putus and sighed. Looking in the opposite direction, the sun glimmered over the forest and seemed to beckon her over. It seemed to be a far more interesting prospect than going into town and she could assess the state of the forest and if there was any naturally growing flora that could be used for anything. Besides, she missed her little hermit cottage and the natural seclusion of the trees. She had grown in tune with the place and whilst "her" cottage (she insisted on reminding herself that this was a holiday place and soon enough, normality would be restored) was rather lovely, home it was not.
Filling a small bag with some scissors, a pair of dragonhide gloves and her lunch, she started walking towards the forest. The warmth was nice, even though the clouds had masked the sun. The world seemed to have been drained of all life (all human life at least) and it was a pleasant feeling. Reaching the outskirts of the forest, she noticed some growing mallowsweet. She cut a few twigs from the bush before walking into the forest.
She noticed the difference between this and her home. This one had a darker air, almost like the Forbidden forest. Whilst the prospect excited her, she took a firm grip of her wand, just in case.
