Louis left the little rowhouse and found himself on a street called Queen's Avenue. He was shocked enough not to quite believe what he was seeing...maybe he'd fallen asleep back home while waiting for the rest of the family? Maybe. He was still wearing his nice clothes. But he wasn't shocked enough not to do some exploring.
He wandered around, finding this dream, if it was one, disappointingly prosaic. It looked very clearly like an ordinary village filled with shops and residences, but if the elf was to be believed, it was purely magical, which was kind of interesting.
His stomach growled, reminding him he hadn't eaten. His mum and dad were making something special for his birthday and he'd been saving his appetite for that, so. He looked around and spotted a cafe and a bakery, all the while suspecting that if this was a dream, shouldn't he not be hungry? The bakery looked far more appealing, so he headed that way and went inside. A woman about his age was there and he smiled charmingly, smoothed out his appearance, and stepped forward. "Hello, love. Sorry, but are you still open?"
