Malachi placed his arm behind her, not touching her but using it to prop himself up mostly. He stayed silent for a moment, looking out over the now dark and mostly empty park. Every now and then he notice moment, but mostly it was just silence and unchanging. There was a mystery to it.
Turning back to her he smiled. "I hope I do," he said honestly. He might not put stock in to Divination, but one couldn't get a reading and think it was a total waste. Everything anyway was so general that it could come true and not have anything to do with Divination at all. The probability of life changing was a given and one didn't need a reading to know that.
He smiled warmly back at her, surprised and almost touched, that she had said his last name so easily. If he didn't know better, he'd say that she was beginning to see past the last name completely, to who the man was sitting beside her instead. Sitting so close to her he had to fight the urge to try to touch her, to try to kiss her. He couldn't help how his thoughts changed so rapidly from the reading to her again, to being attracted to her and wanting her "I think you've already proven beyond a doubt that you can take whatever life throws at you," he said in a low voice, looking into her eyes.
