Characters: Remus Lupin and Sirius Black Where: Hospital Wing then Hogsmead When: September 9th, night. Rating: PG13 Progress: Incomplete.
Though the colour had yet to return to his cheeks, Remus was starting to feel loads better than what he had just a few hours ago. Madam Pomfrey was a godsent, he was sure of it. He came in shortly after ancient runes had ended and she immediately started to treat his cuts and bruises that he had over his body. The large gash that was on his waist was healing nicely and, according to her, Remus would be able to leave the facility tomorrow, providing that he was healed and in good heath and he assured madam Pomfrey several times that he would be fit to leave for tomorrow. Even so, he was still required to stay the night in the hospital wing. This he knew was something that he was not going to do already, but that was not information he was going to share with her. She hung around for a good part of the afternoon, which annoyed Remus as he had been trying to sleep and he found that to be difficult with her coming in to check on him a various times, but he did eventually slip into a deep sleep around five o'clock in the evening. Remus couldn't remember the last time that he had slept as deep as that - he was usually awake in the middle of the night with nightmares or odd dreams, but tonight he was freed from that. He awoke around quarter to nine, when Madam Pomfrey was just finishing cleaning up the Hospital Wing for the day and getting ready to set off for her chamber. He had to quietly grab his pair of jeans and slip them on over top of the hospital gown that he had been forced into hours ago and he slipped back into bed to wait.
It was only fifteen minutes, but the time seemed to drag much more worse than usual as he did nothing but stare at the clock. Their conversation in Ancient Runes was only enough to graze the surface of the subject for Remus and Sirius. He suspected that they were still going to talk about a great deal of things that they had not been able to discuss through the notes that they passed back and forth to each other in class. He still couldn't believe that this was happening... For the first time, he was nervous to see his friend. Nervous... but he had never been more excited at the same time.
Remus checked the time again and he saw that it was five minutes to nine - how much longer was he going to have to wait? This clock was broken, he was certain of it. After only a minute passing, Remus got frustrated and he closes his eyes as he lay in bed ,grumbling that it wasn't time yet.
