"No, you certainly don't have to sleep on the floor. You get to share a king size with yours truly," Millicent said with amusement, nodding slightly at Kit's assessment. "There are certain things I always ask for, but usually, a nice yet affordable hotel is the way to go. That way, you get more out of the actual payment upon contract completion." Taking a small sip of her drink, she smiled widely as Kit mentioned the letters from Holly. That would certainly be a special treat. "Well, I'll have to right her one back, and let her know her mum told me all about the zoo." Taking in her friend then, Millie had to admit, the woman looked wonderful. Not just physically speaking, but she certainly had an air about her, happiness and maybe a hint of pride. The latter was well deserved, especially as Kit mentioned her achievement that was her book. Millie was so incredibly proud of how far her friend had come since the actual end of the war.
"I'm just so happy you're doing so well, you know," Millie mused. "Family. Success. A tiny little bit of free time thrown in there to travel to Egypt. Sounds like a dream considering where we've come from."
